Privacy Policy

Reactive Overlay is run by TheQuest, a sole proprietorship based in the United States. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising on this site. Almost everything the tool does happens inside your browser and never reaches us.

What stays on your device

Your overlay settings — the controller you picked, colours, layout, calibration, your uploaded logo and any custom artwork — are saved in your browser's local storage. They are not uploaded to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them, and we have no copy to restore.

When you generate an OBS link, your settings are encoded into that URL. The link is produced in your browser; we don't record the links you make. Treat a link you share as public, because anyone who has it can open your overlay.

What we do receive

• Licence checks. If you have a paid plan, your licence key is sent to our server to confirm it's valid. We store the key, which plan it is, when it expires, and a reference from our payment provider. We use this only to decide whether to unlock paid features.
• Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request information including IP address, timestamp and user agent, for security and abuse prevention. We don't combine this with anything else or use it to build a profile of you.
• Email. If you write to us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you and so we have a record of any refund.

Payments

We don't process payments and we never see your card details. Our order process is conducted by Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record and is the data controller for your payment and billing information. Paddle collects what it needs to take payment, charge the right tax and issue an invoice, under its own privacy policy. We receive only enough to know that a licence is valid — the plan, its status, and an order reference.

Third parties in the page

The app loads display fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). That request tells Google your IP address and which fonts were requested. It is used to render the creator-code text styles and nothing else. If that matters to you, the overlay itself works with the fonts already on your machine.

Site hosting and DNS are provided by Cloudflare. Licence data is held in Cloudflare's database service in their network.

That's the complete list. No analytics provider, no session recorder, no ad network, no social pixels.

Controller and keyboard input

The overlay reads your controller through your browser's Gamepad API, and keyboard overlays read key presses in the page, purely to light up the matching button on screen. None of that input is transmitted anywhere. It is read, drawn and discarded frame by frame.

Uploaded artwork

Custom logos and shell artwork you add are held in your browser and composited there. If we offer you the option to store a copy so it can be served to your OBS overlay, that copy exists only to serve the image back to you, and you can ask us to delete it.

How long we keep things

Licence records are kept while your plan is active and for up to two years afterwards, so we can handle renewals, refunds and tax records. Support email is kept for up to two years. Cloudflare's request logs are short-lived and governed by their retention.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. For licence and support data email support@reactiveoverlay.com and we'll respond within 30 days. For payment and billing data, Paddle is the controller and requests should go to them — we'll point you to the right place if you're not sure.

If you are in the EU or UK, our lawful basis is performance of a contract (running the licence you bought) and legitimate interests (keeping the service secure). We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Children

The service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we'll delete it.

Changes and contact
