Terms of Service
Last updated 25 July 2026
Reactive Overlay is operated by TheQuest, a sole proprietorship based in the United States ("we", "us"). By using the site or the software at reactiveoverlay.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.
1. What the service is
Reactive Overlay is a browser-based tool that generates animated overlays of game controllers and keyboards, for use in streaming and recording software such as OBS. It runs in your browser. Some features are free; others require a paid plan.
2. Your licence
While your plan is active we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software and the overlays it produces, including in monetised streams, videos and other commercial content you create.
You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the software itself, the artwork it ships with, or a generated overlay file as a product of your own; share or publish a licence key; or remove, obscure or circumvent any licensing or access control.
3. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled.
- A lifetime plan is a one-time payment covering the software for as long as we operate it. It does not oblige us to operate it indefinitely, and it does not include future separate products.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
- We may change prices for future renewals, and will give reasonable notice before we do.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4. Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles all payment, billing enquiries, tax and invoicing. Paddle's own terms apply to the transaction. We never receive or store your card details.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account. Don't attempt to overwhelm, probe or reverse-engineer the service's licensing in order to bypass payment.
6. Trademarks and third-party hardware
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any console or hardware manufacturer. Controller and keyboard names are used only to identify which physical device an overlay depicts, so that you can find the one you own. All trademarks, product names and hardware designs are the property of their respective owners.
Any artwork you upload remains yours, and you are responsible for having the right to use it. Don't upload anything you don't have permission to use.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Overlays are a cosmetic addition to your stream; they are not suitable for any safety-critical or mission-critical purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost revenue, lost viewers or lost content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your statutory consumer rights.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms — in particular by sharing or reselling a licence key or circumventing access controls. Where we end your access without cause, we will refund the unused portion of a current subscription period.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially reduces your rights we will give notice before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections of your place of residence.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms: support@reactiveoverlay.com. For billing, payment or invoice questions, contact Paddle as Merchant of Record, or write to us and we will pass it on.
